HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Words can't truly describe the depth of God's love, but we can know it through His Son Jesus Christ. While I was lost and confused, rebellious and angry, God covered me with His love!

It was many years ago, that I cried out in agony. I didn't know if I was just speaking to the air or to God, but I begged Him to show me if He was real. If He truly existed. My life was so messed up and painful, I needed to know the truth!

I still smile as I think about how God wasted no time showing me He existed. I had a Bible someone had given me but I had tossed it into a closet never opening it. After my plea with God I was moved, yes moved, to go my closet and retrieve that Bible.

I sat down, opened it up and there my eyes found the words...

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 from the King James Version

The words of Christ spoke to my heart and soul. And my heart said yes I want you Jesus.

God doesn't ask or demand that we get our "act" together or until we're "good enough" for His love. He offers His love through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. We only have to say "yes".
