ALL AROUND US

We're living in a time when we're able to read and see all sorts of tragedy all around us and in the world, and it's easy to become alarmed or overwhelmed. As we hear and view on the news and internet about all these atrocities, horrors and wars, fears and worries can consume our thoughts and feelings.

But some 2,000 years ago, look what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 24 and verses 6-8...  "And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains."

Jesus said I have overcome the world - in other words everything is in His hands, His control. He promised and promises us that He will give us His PEACE. His kind of peace gives us the ability to face and bear the tribulations and troubles we may face.
